Synopsis[]
As the Brotherhood of Evil closes in, the Doom Patrol try to set aside past issues in hopes of becoming a true superhero team - or risk being taken out for good.
Plot[]
After the crash, Rita uses her elasticity to get her arm back, Larry protects the larva, and Vic helps nurse an unconscious Jane. Despite the odds, Rita demanded that the group keep going, something Vic refused because they had no vehicle, Larry's larva was going crazy, and Jane was in bad shape. In The Underground, Jane discovers that the entrance is blocked by rocks, waking up to reveal that she was in no condition to do anything, as were Vic and Larry. Vic eventually accepted that they would never be a superteam due to their current condition until they were vanished into the fog by Shelley Byron, who discussed with Rita the results of the Eternal Flagellation and how it helped the world to improve, but Rita just wanted for Laura to realize her terrible acts, continuing with her revenge, even though Shelley thought that Malcolm DuPont would not have wanted that, leaving Rita alone. Waking up, Laura realized that Monsieur Mallah hadn't killed her, showing anger for giving Ultimax a robot body, deciding to leave the evil for his own good, letting Laura live and retiring on his van.
Angry, Laura tried to get out, accidentally knocking Cliff's brain onto the ground, revealing a old giant robot of the Brotherhood of Evil. In Shelley's mind, Jane learns that all the personalities were there and went with Shelley to find Hammerhead, leaving behind Vic and Larry, who was suffering from the larva, believing that she wanted to kill him, but Mama Pentecost revealed that the larva was named Keeg and that it needed to fuse with Larry or else it would die. Jane confronts Hammerhead, asking for her help to save Kay, but is refused by Doctor Harrison and Shelley decides to show Jane something. In Florida, Ultimax was hanging out on the golf course, enjoying his retired life until Laura showed up for revenge with the giant robot in which she had placed Cliff with an old Ultimax body. Despite running away, Laura was able to step on Ultimax, taking revenge and leading Cliff to the Doom Manor to kill Rita. At the candy store, Jane finds Pretty Polly and Flit dying just like the rocks in The Underground, confronting Harrison to convince the personas to go back to Kay.
On their journey, Laura explained to Cliff that the robot was powered by brain energy. She was refusing to stop until Cliff successfully controlled the robot and tried to convince her to be good at heart. Laura decided not to kill him, escaping like a bird. Larry was still hesitant to let Keeg into his body, despite the personalities' advice and Vic compared the situation to his uncle's dog, Bo, as Larry could take Keeg as the negative spirit's replacement, reminding him of the conversation with his subconscious about letting love in and Larry finally accepting the fusion. Rita arrives in Boca Raton, finding Ultimax with his body destroyed, and he's shocked to see her alive, blaming Garguax. In the old Sisterhood base, Laura finds an old record, starting to dance while remembering her artistic past, finding the time machine, so she decided to escape aimlessly and Shipley asked her questions about her identity. Laura was thinking about traveling before Malcolm's death or before joining the Brotherhood or before being herself, leaving her confused.
Jane discussed with Harrison going back inside Kay only to discover she was dying, as Harrison would rather they all die if she wasn't in control, so Jane made Harrison an offer. When trying to merge with Keeg, Larry couldn't due to the anti-radiation bandages and Vic offered to keep Keeg inside him to take him to the manor, acknowledging that he was afraid to fight the Brotherhood because he had no powers and Cliff would fail him, vowing not to let Larry down and Keeg entered Vic. Clara returns home and finds Cliff, who presents himself in his new giant body, making amends to Clara for everything he did to make a real change in him. He confesses to having been a bad father but he sought to improve for the good of Clara and Rory. Clara accepts her father's apology because she wanted to see him healthy, cheering Cliff, who then leaves to make amends with his friends. Reading a farewell letter from Mallah, Ultimax is angry that he abandoned him so easily, venting his anger at Rita, offering to form an evil alliance so they can kill Laura, in exchange for her helping him rearm his body.
Rita considered Ultimax's offer to get revenge due to his flirtation for evil, however, Rita declines the offer because what she does is out of love, using a hot mug to burn Ultimax's brain, killing him. Returned to the manor, Vic is taken by Larry to his room and Jane stays to flirt with Shelley, saying goodbye to her, sharing loving smiles. In his room, Vic releases Keeg's form and Larry removes his bandages, accepting Keeg, who finally bonds with him. In The Underground, Jane, Harrison, and the personalities return to dislodge the rocks until Hammerhead calls out to Jane, discovering that he gave Harrison his position as primary host to work on, before hearing a mysterious sound and Jane leaving with Vic, noting that it was Laura at the machine. Due to the short trip and amnesia, Laura noticed a letter written by her, remembering Vic, Jane, Larry, Cliff and Rita, who was seeking revenge for killing Malcolm, surprising Laura for being so bad, even more so when Jane reminded her that she was a killer baby. At the same time, Cliff arrives, returning the stolen items, before his Parkinson's caused him to head to the town of Cloverton.
Jane teleports as Flit into Cliff to try and find a way to stop his walking to no avail. Vic and Laura think about doing something until they see Larry glow with his new power with Keeg, asking him to try to stop Cliff, failing because he barely merged and Vic heads to help while Laura remembers to always support them in their troublesome situations, before Rita stopped her archenemy. Jane tries to pull levers on the robot body to stop it, accidentally activating the self-destruct and Cliff argues with Jane about how his new body works. Looking Rita in the face, Laura remembered her betrayal of the Sisterhood, trying to make amends with Rita, apologizing and admitting that she must die. Thinking that it would be their last moments, Jane and Cliff talk for the last time about the various places they would destroy, sharing laughter, regaining their strong friendship and Jane accepting her friend's apology, sharing an emotional hug, heading towards a baseball field. Vic was trying to stop Cliff until he saw something giant follow the robot. Before almost destroying the city, Rita shows her new powers, becoming giant, stopping Cliff, who asks to go home and Rita mentions that they could do that.
Back at the manor, the group sees the news of their rescue and Rita is surprised that they did something good for the town, since they were now different people, expressing that they should be labeled by themselves without being criticized as being good, bad or weapon, suggesting the group be weapons for good and offering to become a super team. Thanks to Rita's inspiring speech, Vic, Larry (along with Keeg) and Cliff agree to become superheroes, as does Laura, finding it a way to redeem themselves, though Rita only agrees to keep an eye on her. Finally, Jane agrees to join the team, starting their career as heroes and Cliff suggests a name for the team, "Doom Force", before they see on the news that a testicle-shaped monster was found in the Suez Canal, designated by Cliff and Rita recognized that the monster would be their first villain. Jane fell unconscious, causing the team to find another way to get to the Suez. In The Underground, Jane got into a discussion with Harrison about her role as the primary. Using Cliff's body and the time machine to travel in 3 minutes, Laura, Jane, Vic and Larry stayed inside Cliff while Rita guided them from the machine. Finally united as superheroes, the "Doom Force" heads towards the Suez to combat the testicle-shaped monster.

Trivia[]
- Everyone tapes their names to their heads (or brain case in Cliff's case) to ensure they don't waste too much time figuring out their own identities.
- Only Laura De Mille doesn't have her actual name on her head; instead it reads "Rouge".
- Since the Doom Patrol is traveling via Cliff's robot body being pulled by the Time Machine piloted by Rita, it's possible they will be immune to getting amnesia. Or just Jane, since she's currently "offline".
- The number of glowing eyes in the Underground matches the number of dead alters Kay has; implying there might be a resurrection going on like with Daddy.
