"If we can't protect what's normal in this world, then what're we left with?"
—Darren Jones[src]

Darren Jones was an ex-agent of the Bureau of Normalcy, an organization dedicated to eradicating anything they deem to be abnormal. Darren has a particular vendetta against Danny the Street, whom he blames for his friend Morris Wilson's disappearance. When he attempted to destroy Danny many years later, he was thwarted by Maura Lee Karupt, Larry Trainor, Vic Stone, and the Dannyzens.

As revenge, Darren captured Vic Stone, who would try to be saved by his friends and his father Silas, causing a mass breakout at the Ant Farm. For what happened, Darren was fired from the bureau, however, he received the curse of becoming a Were-Butt, and kidnapped Niles Caulder's head to take revenge, using several Were-Butts against his enemies, but was forced to flee. Despite his escape, Darren was turned into a zombie due to the zombie virus the group had and moved to a farm to avoid eating brains. Eventually, Darren was intercepted by Laura De Mille and Cliff, who teamed up to kill him despite the fact that he redeemed himself, believing that this would prevent the Buttpocalypse.
