In 1964, Doctor Saucer attempted to rob an aquarium in Kansas until he was confronted by the superhero Flex Mentallo, who used his powers to alter Doctor Saucer's vibrational waves, causing the villain's defeat. Flex's battle against Saucer was published in the local newspaper.
