Driver 8 is one of Kay Challis's many alters. Driver 8 is an alter that manages transportation in the underground, conducting a subway that leads Kay's other alters to the surface. She has never surfaced herself.
Biography[]
Just like other alters, Driver 8 was created when Kay sustained traumatic emotional abuse. She was given the job to operate the train that individually brings altersto the surface. One time while returning Jane to the surface, Driver 8 spoke to her about the pressures of being a primary. Driver 8 allowed Jane to pull the emergency brake on the train, and said she had until she could fix it, to buy Jane time. To her surprise, Driver 8 met Cliff later on and double-crossed him to prevent him from locating Jane.[1]
Healing from DID many years later, Kay merged with her alters into a single being, Kaleidoscope.
