Hammerhead is one of Kay Challis's many alters. Hammerhead is an aggressive alter, or persecutor, with enhanced strength. When "surfaced" in their shared body, she has a skull tattoo on her chest and a scar on her lip, and in the underground, she is bald.
Biography[]
Hammerhead is one of the many alters of Kay Challis who developed DID due to childhood abuse.
Somewhere along this time Hammerhead was seemingly created to act as a protective persona for Kay whenever she needed to defend herself. With Hammerhead seemingly being one of the first alters created by Kay as she was present during Kay's adolescence prior to the emergence of Miranda.
As seen in Miranda's memory, Hammerhead was one of the alters present during Kay's Holy Water Exorcism, where she had briefly surfaced into Kay's body and proceeded to violently threaten the preacher and church goers to make them stop, but was unsuccessful. Eventually upon Miranda manifesting in Kay's mind during the alters debate on what to do, Hammerhead was the one to first question Miranda on who she was with suspicion, before eventually trusting her upon Kay agreeing to allow her to surface.
Hammerhead was also present during Miranda's final days as Primary. Where she briefly surfaced into their shared body to throw off Johnny's friend after Miranda was pressured into having swinger sex with him. Hammerhead was one of the alters present during Miranda's forcible return to The Underground and yelled at her due to her failing in her job to "keep them safe". After this Hammerhead was also present during Crazy Jane's emergence as Primary and served as one of her primary defenders. As it was seen and implied that along with Flaming Katy, Hammerhead was one of the primary alters that defended Jane whenever she faced abuse or harassment. However despite being good intentioned, this instead resulted in Jane being frequently held accountable for Hammerhead's often violent outbursts.
Years later, after Kay returned to Doom Manor, Hammerhead took over as the primary alters and harassed the Chief, before starting on Cliff Steele. Later on, when the group had gone into town and Cliff had destroyed her phone, Hammerhead emerged, getting angry at Cliff. Some police officers approached, and Hammerhead began to try and start a fight, but they were interrupted by Rita, who had lost control of her body. Hammerhead attempted to insult her into reforming, but with no luck.[1]
Powers and abilities[]

- Metahuman physiology: Hammerhead is one of the many alters residing within Kay Challis, each of whom manifests their own power when in control of their shared body.
- Enhanced strength: Hammerhead is shown to have above average strength, being able to punch Robotman up a flight of stairs.
- Enhanced Durability: Due to Hammerhead never harming or injuring her fists whenever she punches something of particular hardness, its likely that she also possess a degree of superhuman durability or invulnerability when in control of their shared body.
