In the garage of the Doom Manor, Cliff was repairing his car until realizing that Jane had awakened, now in her adulthood, claiming that their fling as teenagers did occured, assuming Willoughby Kipling reversed the spell, before Jane left. realizing that she had lost her longevity as she aged, discovering that Bunbury stole it, asking Cliff for help in retrieving it and stopping Immortus, though Cliff refused to continue working on his car, despite Jane's pleas. Cliff told Jane how he cared for her when she became a baby, apologizing for continuing to party, advising Jane to do what she must before she passed away, frustrating Jane. Suddenly, a voice manifested from the glove, confusing Cliff and the glove manifested as "Rory". During the ride to the manor, Vic promised Deric to pay for his gas, refusing to answer because he went looking for him while they were talking about the youth spell. Jane returned to The Underground to confront the personas, who were doing puzzles for Kay, angering Jane for not wanting to help, insulting Pretty Polly and the others, deciding to figure everything out on her own.
At the bus terminal, Laura saw Rita wake up now that they returned to adulthood, listening to Rita's request to return home, however, Laura motivated her to recover her longevity and save the universe, deducing that they should investigate the Immortus Project at the Bureau of Normalcy, terrifying Rita because they both suffered in their time there, but accepted Laura's request to be the leader, though she returned Rita's position after completing her mission and Rita agreed to lead their adventure. In the dimension known as Orqwith, Larry, unaided by Keeg, was led by the Scissormen towards his sacrarium until Rama tried to stop the soldiers, using his powers to rust them, allowing him to escape with Larry. Rama told Larry that Immortus is hope, revealing that he joined the agents to summon Immortus, in exchange for the wish for a better life and to stop hurting people, trying to convince Larry that Immortus could prevent Larry from separating and Keeg, but Larry saw Immortus as a threat, asking Rama to place his faith in him to reverse his condition, however, Rama already had faith in Larry, opening a portal to return to Earth.
"Rory" berated Cliff for not doing anything against Immortus for hurting Rita and Jane, though Cliff mentioned that he'd rather fix the car for the real Rory, but "Rory" got annoyed with Cliff for not visiting his grandson, comparing him to his father, frustrating Cliff, who accepted being a bad person, however, "Rory" took him to the kitchen to remind him that he left the last Zombie Butt alive out of mercy, making Cliff see that he is a good person, before seeing Larry in the portal. Shelley was making a cake in her mind being visited by Jane, surprising Shelley about her hair and asking about her recent adventures as Jane sat next to her to talk about how she had thought of her over the past few days, as same as Shelley for Jane. She told Shelley that she decided to think of life for herself and not serve other people, impressing Shelley, who believed that Kay would be proud of her, but Jane did not care about Kay's opinion, although Shelley told her that she could. wait, despite the fact that Jane admitted to wanting a relationship with her and tried to kiss her without success because of her doubts, listening to Shelley's request to seek real help and Jane worried about not kissing her, returning to her room to cry in the puzzle for not being able to love. After crossing the portal, Larry entered the kitchen of the manor, being greeted by Cliff, who after seeing Rama, got angry with him because he almost killed them in the fire pit and Larry informed Cliff that Rama had changed, sharing glances with Rama, making Cliff think that Larry and Rama had sexual tension.
Rama notified Cliff that he came to help the Doom Patrol prevent the rise of Immortus, warning that Cliff and Larry were in danger of losing their longevity, deciding to stop the agents before it was too late, however, Keeg betrayed Larry, sending him back to Orqwith and sending Rama to a whereabouts unknown, throwing Cliff into the room with the fridge. At the Ant Farm, two agents mocked the failure of Butt Hunter while Laura, transformed into a janitor, and Rita stole a badge to enter the archive room in search of the Immortus Project archive, but Laura realizing that the file was taken by asset 34771, she decided to leave in concern, before Rita stopped her for an explanation, discovering that the asset was Wally Sage, Malcolm's real accidental killer, making her feel bad Laura for believing that she was responsible for the alliance of Wally and Immortus. Rita made Laura feel good because it wasn't her fault, asking her to continue with the mission to save the universe, a request that Laura accepted. After returning to the manor, Vic and Deric were informed that Larry was in danger in Orqwith, so Vic decided to go despite not having powers, asking Deric to stay, however, Deric decided to support his friend, taking a knife to enter the kingdom.
Vic was annoyed that Deric followed him and even more so when the portal closed, forcing Vic to agree that Deric reluctantly helped him, asking him not to touch anything. Rita and Laura managed to get into a cell on the farm, looking at gloomy drawings next to words related to Immortus and Orqwith, beginning their investigation while Rita was looking at drawings of Malcolm. "Wally" surprised the duo, being discovered by them upon being recognized. Deric argued with Vic for the reason of having looked for him when he became a kid, since he would always be there for his friend no matter what. Vic apologized to Deric for leaving, through Deric apologized to Vic for blaming him and Vic commented that he wanted to make amends and Deric asked if it was the reason for taking of his tech. Going on his way, Deric told Vic that he told his students that Cyborg was his best friend, which inspired Deric on a daily basis, accepting no matter how far Vic was, he would never disconnect from where he came from, touching Vic, and they both reconciled their great friendship. While still crying, Jane allowed Cliff into her room in annoyance and Cliff apologized, realizing that he should be more active for the people he loves, but Jane didn't feel like she should be loved. Cliff removed his glove to comfort her, encouraging her that she couldn't do anything if people wanted to love her, making Jane feel good and agreed to attack the agents.
The duo hear a strange sound, finging a bloody Kipling, reporting that Bunbury and the Knights Templar were killed by agentes of Immortus, revealing to Jane that Bunbury take her longevity to protect her to no avil, asking Cliff to keep himself safe from the cult, warning that the agents grew stronger with every ounce of longevity and it would be tood late to prevent the rise of Immortus. Despite the warning, Jane and Cliff decide to take on the cult, and Kipling could only wish his friends luck. Near the sacrarium, Vic and Deric search for a way to evade the Scissormen, noticing that the trees had pencils and sheets of paper, creating a butterfly, orchestrating a plan with Vic to use Orqwith's power against him as in his game from Dungeons and Dragons with Calvin. While the bureau soldiers searched for the intruders, Laura tried to free "Wally" while Rita asked "Wally" what Orqwith is, discovering that they were where ideas were born and died, asking if this was where Immortus would rise until Laura freed "Wally" to help him to escape, but when "Wally" showed the suffering he went through for years, Rita suffered stress from remembering Malcolm, causaing her to become a gloob, crushing "Wally". Inside the sacrarium, a hooded man, Doctor Janus and Torminox were preparing the extraction of Larry's longevity, who kept asking Keeg for help and when his son responded, Larry had a vision where his future self was attacked by the Were-Butts during the Buttpocalypse and at losing his bandages, Larry would kill the world, causing future Keeg to kill him in the sun with no options.
Disturbed, Larry promised Keeg that they would stop the Buttpocalypse like they stopped previous threats, but believing Keeg would be right, Larry agreed to lose his longevity, beginning the extraction. While working on their creation, Vic and Deric rushed over as the extraction began, creating through the drawings their new ally, who manifested as an giant Mister Invincible, who was ordered by Deric to take out the Scissormen while Deric and Vic watched with pride. Still in the cell, Rita returned to her normal form and Laura saw there were spots on her back, terifying Rita into thinking she killed "Wally", through Laura doubted that Rita killed him, and they both escaped the farm in time. Mister Invincible prepared to fight the Scissormen and Jane and Cliff, who put a bucket in his glove, arrived to provide support, but the robot was destroyed, causing Vic, Deric, Jane and Cliff to be captured by the Scissormen. Jane and Cliff watched the agents arrive and the hooded man revealed himself to be the real Wally, shocked that Cliff turned out to be the last missing piece for the rise of Immortus. The Scissormen brought the duo before him and Cliff thought he could beat the agents just like the Butts. "Rory" called Cliff two times to ask if he closed the fridge and Cliff remembered that he hadn't. In the fridge, the Zombie Butt began to thraw to search for brains.
