Staff Sergeant John Bowers was a former Air Force mechanic who worked closely with pilot Larry Trainor, who was also his secret lover.

Biography

Bowers and Trainor in his youth.

John Bowers enlisted in the Air Force as a mechanic, being promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his time there, he developed a secret relationship with Larry Trainor. One day, when Larry tested the X-15, John monitored the comms. When the plane began to crash down to Earth, he raced out to the crash site, discovering Larry's burnt self, crawling from the wreckage.

In 2019 John was visited by Larry who hoped to make peace while they had a chance. After a happy reunion, John passed away peacefully and left Larry saddened their reunion didn't last.
