Rama (born 1928) was a former scientist who received the power of the elements of the periodic table, calling himself Mister 104. Due to his powers, Rama was captured at the Ant Farm, where he was forced to kill people by the Bureau of Normalcy until he finally escaped and was recruited into the Agents of Immortus, with the goal of making let Immortus rise to purify his past, though Rama refused to kill people in progress.

During the campaign to steal the Doom Patrol's longevity, Rama met Larry Trainor, whom he fell in love with after merging with Keeg and decided to leave the Immortus cult to help Larry and the Doom Patrol avoid the rise of Immortus. Despite everything, Rama and the team could not stop the arrival of the deity like Isabel Feathers, entering into conflict with her, while Rama and Larry, who was upset by the loss of his longevity, strengthened their love relationship, although he was worried because soon his instability would kill him. Rama, left with no options, prepared to die under the sea until he was rescued by Larry and together, the couple became a sun.

Early life[]

Rama was born in 1928 in Tamil Nadu, India, spending his life becoming interested in botanical chemistry, which led him to travel to London to follow his students, but somehow, he ended up acquiring the powers of the 104 elements of the periodic table, although His powers were unstable, causing Rama to be afraid to use them for harming people. Because of his powers, Rama took on his own alias, calling himself Mister 104. Due to the discovery of his powers, Rama was captured by the Bureau of Normalcy and taken as a prisoner to the Ant Farm, where he was classified with the code name 1018.

In his time at the Ant Farm, Rama was taken for experimentation by Doctor Charles Forsythe, who took him to a room full of agents to interrogate him, learning about his elemental power, ordering him to use his hydrogen power. to remove oxygen from the soldiers, an order that Rama denied until an agent forced him at gunpoint, forcing him to murder the four soldiers in the room, a demonstration that impressed Forsythe, frustrating Rama for doing harm and he continued like this for the next few years.

Joining to the Agents of Immortus[]

Years later in 2019, Rama was released from his cell after a break-out at the Ant Farm, where he met Doctor Janus, an emotional vampire, who recruited him to join Wally Sage and be part of of a group that would bring the forgotten God Immortus, who would be able to purify their past and improve their future. Placing his faith in the deity, Rama agreed to join the group to improve his condition, learning that they must steal the longevity pieces found in the results of the Immortus Project, the Doom Patrol.

Following the plan to steal the Doom Patrol's longevity, Rama and Doctor Janus took it upon themselves to search for Rita Farr, capturing her in a filmography of herself within a fictional reality. In the film Secret Rendezvous, Rama pretended to be the character Oliver Truman, meeting Rita's best friend, Larry Trainor, in whom Rama became interested, asking him how he had sensuality in his bandages, something that Larry denied, telling her that he couldn't remove the bandages because of his radioactive skin that would destroy the world.

Rama offered a proposal to help him eliminate his problem, telling him that he was also "trapped" in the film and telling him about Janus' plan, offering to help him save Rita, a proposal to which Larry agreed. Using his powers, Rama and Larry arrived at the horror film, The Haunting of White Manor, where they rescued Larry's teammates, Crazy Jane and Cliff Steele, greeting them friendly. Rama and the Doom Patrol, in special suits, traveled to the film Spartacus 452 to find Rita and Rama introduced himself as "Mister 104", stating that it was in honor of the elements of the periodic table, expressing his disappointment when none of those present knew what he was talking about.

When Rita and the team decided to find a way to prevent Janus from getting Rita's emotions, Rama locked Larry, Jane and Cliff in a cell, revealing that he was in league with Janus and creating a fire pit, preventing the trio from using his powers to help Rita. Rama and Janus watched Rita cross the bridge to save the Doom Patrol, causing her to release one last emotion that completed Janus's necklace, acquiring her longevity. After Janus left, Rita was about to fall into the well, so Rama decided to help her so she wouldn't get hurt, before Keeg arrived to free the Doom Patrol from the artificial dimension, but in instead of returning to Larry, Keeg headed towards Rama, whom he teleported elsewhere in a forest.

In an attempt to get rid of Keeg, Rama used all his powers to defuse himself without success, being forced to hide in his cabin, being connected by Keeg to Larry, who ended up passing out in the forest, where Rama found him and took him to his home. Rama saw Larry wake up, calling him "Not Polly" in honor of their first meeting, accidentally attacking him because of Keeg, explaining that he tried to get rid of him, but they both ended up collapsing to the ground. Through an astral form, Rama entered a past memory of Larry, discovering that he was also experimented on by the Ant Farm and Forsythe along with his first Negative Spirit, killing bureau agents for his radioactive skin. Rama helped Larry calm him down, turning his skin into lead so he wouldn't hurt him, forming a new connection between loving glances.

They both finally woke up and Rama spoke to Larry about his first negative spirit, telling him that he joined the Agents of Immortus to purify his past with the help of Immortus, mentioning the atrocities that the Bureau forced him to do and his instability that could destroy the world, although Larry offered his help to reverse his condition, filling him with hope to work together. Rama faithfully believed Larry, revealing his real name and returning Keeg to him, laughing together knowing that the spirit's plan was to reunite them.

Powers[]

  • Metahuman physiology: Supposedly by some experiments, Rama ended up receiving powers from the 104 elements of the periodic table, being able to change his molecules to other elements.
    • Elemental Control: Rama can rebuild his molecules, combining them with his power to stay in the elemental state he is in.
      • Transformation: With some of his elements, Rama can transform into any form related to an element, using a lead skin.
      • Hydrokinesis: Rama also uses the element of water to deprive people of oxygen, forcibly killing several Bureau of Normalcy agents.
  • Longevity: As he claims, his powers granted Rama longevity, having been alive since 1928.

  • Psychic Link: Temporarily combined with Keeg, Rama mind melds with Larry Trainor, giving him various visions and seeing some pieces of his tragic past.
  • Energy Projection: Rama can display energy when Keeg was around, launching a force attack on Larry towards a wall of his cabin when Keeg was not in control.

  • In the DC comics, Jonathan Dubrovny was a scientist who wanted to travel in various worlds, but ended up receiving powers from the periodic table, beginning to be called mainly "Mister 103", becoming an enemy of the Doom Patrol until calling himself "Mister 104" and becoming part of the Suicide Squad.
